The Dominican University women's tennis team dropped a pair of conference matches to open up Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play. The Stars fell to Marian 9-0 to start the morning before falling to Lakeland 7-2 in the afternoon matchup. 
 
The match against the Marian Sabres saw senior Alexis Hoskins battle at the number four singles spot dropping the second set 7-5 and junior Juliana Neiza fall in two sets 6-4 and 6-2.
 
The Stars battled against the Muskies as four out of the six singles matches went to three sets and the number two doubles duo of Maya Banks and Alexis Hoskins battled to an 8-5 loss. 
 
Today's matches drop Dominican to 0-4 on the season. The Stars will be back in action on Friday, September 13th for a home match against Concordia University Chicago with a 4:00pm start.
