RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Dominican University's women's volleyball program was defeated in a five-set thriller at home on Friday evening, falling to Edgewood College in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) action.
Dominican dropped the first set 25-14, but stormed back to take the next two frames, 25-17 and 25-20, respectively. The Eagles had the final say, however, winning set four 25-16 and set five 15-13 to take the match, 3-2.
Gabija Sinickaite was a force on the offensive end with a team-high 15 kills, hitting .433 for the match.
Emily Schellhase chipped in 12 kills while
Maya Green added nine to pace the DU attack. Defensively,
Sarah Lychock and
Adeleen Dunker both had 10 digs each. Dunker facilitated the offense with 39 assists.
