RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Dominican University's women's basketball team was defeated by Lakeland University 76-41 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) action on Saturday afternoon at home. 
 
DU matched Lakeland in the opening quarter as both sides scored 11 each. The Muskies held just a six-point halftime lead, but outscored Dominican 46-17 in the second half to come away with a convincing victory. 
 
Stephenee Huggans led the scoring effort with 11 points, making two threes, while Mackenzie Coleman added seven. Off the bench, Sophia Warner went 4-for-9 from the field, scoring eight points and grabbing four rebounds. Alisha Markley had a team-high seven rebounds and finished with six points, two assists and four steals.
