RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Dominican University's men's basketball team fell late to Illinois Tech 76-72 on Wednesday evening in Northern Athletics Collegiate Competition (NACC).
Hunter French paced Dominican with 15 first-half points as the Stars and Scarlet Hawks were knotted at 37-37 at the break. DU and IIT battled back-and-forth in the second half, but a late IIT surge secured the Scarlet Hawks a four-point victory.
French finished with a season-high 18 points, adding five rebounds and two assists.
Jackson Smith tallied 14 points, making three triples.
Gavin Richardson also posted a season-high with 15 points, going 6-for-11 from the field.
Chris Daniels II was also in double-figures with 10 points. The game featured seven ties and six lead changes.
