River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University women's basketball team hosted Knox College on Tuesday. This was the first game of the season for the Stars and was also their home opener.

Dominican: 45

-Knox (1-0) shot 35 percent from the field compared to Dominican's (0-1) 27 percent.
-Dominican fought hard in the first half and scored 25 of their 45 points.
-The Stars couldn't overcome 23 total turnovers.
-Knox out rebounded DU 54-46.
-The Prairie Fire also made 8 threes compared to Dominican's 4.

Shining Stars:
-Freshman Kamryn Goodman knocked down some tough floaters and led the Stars in scoring.
-Sophomore Ashley Green and fifth-year Dasia Norris combined for 16 rebounds.
-Freshman Payton Allen, junior Heaven Knox, and Norris combined for 9 assists.
