River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University men's basketball team hosted the Regents of Rockford University for the Stars fifth conference game of the year. 

Results:
Rockford: 72
Dominican: 52

How it Happened:
-In the first half, Dominican only shot 27% from the field while allowing Rockford to shoot 44% from the field. 
-Going into the half, the Regents led 35-26. 
-Dominican's offense was similar in the second half scoring 26 points and shooting 34% from the floor. 
-DU could not overcome the poor shooting from behind the arc, making just one shot on 19 attempts. 
-Dominican's defense could not hold up with the offense of Rockford in the second half. The Regents shot 52% from the field and scored 37 points. 
-The Stars did win the bench points battle 23-21. 

Shining Stars:
-Freshman Joshua West led the Stars with 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 steals.
-Junior Andre Bennett was the second leading scorer on the team with 10 points.

What's Next:
Dominican will get back to action Tuesday afternoon against North Park University at 4:30 p.m.
