How it Happened:
-The Stars and the Hornets were neck and neck throughout the game. The first quarter finished 14-14. DU shot 36% from the field compared to KC's 27%.
-DU was down heading into halftime 27-26 with KC shooting 3 for 5 from the free throw line, while the Stars were 5 of 9.
-Stars had their highest scoring quarter in the third, scoring 19 points and shooting 33% from the field.
-The biggest difference in this game was the shooting splits with DU shooting 37% and KC shooting 28%.
-This was the first win of the season for Dominican.
Shining Stars:
-Freshman
Toni Hayes was a force inside and led the Stars in overall scoring and paint scoring.
-Hayes also handled the boards with a team high in offensive and defensive rebounding.
