RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Dominican University women's basketball team suffered a 59-49 setback to Rockford University on Tuesday evening in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) action.
DU stormed out to a 14-7 lead after the first quarter and led 26-20 at the half. A resurgent Rockford cut the lead to two at the end of the third and used a 23-11 fourth quarter to claim the 10-point victory.
Alisha Markley scored a team-high 19 points, making three triples, and adding 11 rebounds for a double-double, her first of the season.
Sophia Warner knocked down two threes on her way to eight points.
