RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Dominican University's second-ranked men's volleyball program erased a 2-0 match deficit to pull off a thrilling, comeback victory on the road over Loras College in five sets on Friday evening.
DU didn't blink despite dropping the first two sets by scores of 25-21 and 25-17, respectively. The Stars came out refreshed in the final three frames, claiming victories of 25-22, 25-20 and 15-11 to complete the come-from-behind victory.
George Kougan led the attack with 16 kills, picking up a double-double as he racked up 14 digs defensively.
Trey Cowan was also in double-digits with 11 kills, adding three blocks.
Jack McGuire stuffed the stat sheet with eight kills, 37 assists, 12 digs and two blocks. Mat Malloy was a force at the net, finishing with 11 blocks to go along with six kills.
