Lisle, Ill. - The Dominican University men's volleyball opened up the season on the road at Benedictine University playing the New Paltz Hawks on a neutral court. 

Results:
New Paltz : 3
Dominican: 0 

How it Happened:
- Dominican had 7 kills on 13 total attempts in the first set. New Paltz had 8 kills on 16 total attempts. DU lost the first set 25-16. 
-The Stars had 4 kills on 20 total attempts in the second set. The Hawks had 11 kills on 24 attempts. The Stars fell 25-22 in the second set. 
-In the third set the wheels fell off for Dominican losing the set 25-11.  
-DU had 17 kills and 16 assists.  
-Defensively the Stars had 7 blocks and 11 digs. 

Shining Stars:
-Senior Jacob Bush and Freshman Casey Goss each had 4 kills leading the team. 
-Sophomore  Owen Morrow had 14 assists and 3 blocks. 
-Senior Jarod Hesse led the team with 2 aces.

Kills: Bush, Goss (4)

Assists: Morrow (14)

What's Next:
The Dominican University men's volleyball team will be back in action Saturday, January 28th with a start time of 3:00 p.m. on the road at North Central College.
