Lisle, Ill. - The Dominican University men's volleyball opened up the season on the road at Benedictine University playing the New Paltz Hawks on a neutral court.

How it Happened:
- Dominican had 7 kills on 13 total attempts in the first set. New Paltz had 8 kills on 16 total attempts. DU lost the first set 25-16.
-The Stars had 4 kills on 20 total attempts in the second set. The Hawks had 11 kills on 24 attempts. The Stars fell 25-22 in the second set.
-In the third set the wheels fell off for Dominican losing the set 25-11.
-DU had 17 kills and 16 assists.
-Defensively the Stars had 7 blocks and 11 digs.

Casey Goss each had 4 kills leading the team.
-Sophomore
Owen Morrow had 14 assists and 3 blocks.

Jarod Hesse led the team with 2 aces.
