River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University women's soccer team hosted Wisconsin Lutheran College on Saturday. This was Senior Day for the Stars.

How it Happened:
-Dominican came with energy right away and got off to a quick 1-0 start with a goal from senior
Sophia Bartridge in just the sixth minute of play.
-DU would then concede an equalizing goal from WLC in the 29th minute of play.
-Dominican went into halftime tied 1-1.
-The Stars found a go-ahead goal from another senior as
Alexandria Canarelli notched her fourth goal of the season in the 54th minute.
-The DU seniors weren't done there as Bartridge created her second goal of the match and gave Dominican some breathing room as they went up 3-1 in the 59th minute.
-The Stars would have to hold off a second goal from WLC to narrow the lead to 3-2 with 20 minutes remaining.
-Dominican once again trusted a senior as
Grace Larson took an important penalty and notched DU's 4th goal with just a minute left to play.
-Each of DU's three seniors scored at least one goal in the 4-2 victory.
Shining Stars:

Sophia Bartridge contributed 2 goals and all of her 3 shots were on target. She also played all 90 minutes.
-
Alexandria Canarelli put a lot of pressure on the defense with her 5 shots, a goal, and an assist.
-
Grace Larson was asked to play a lot more defense than usual as she held her own on the back line and contributed the penalty-kick goal.
