Mequon, Wis.- The Dominican University men's soccer team traveled to Concordia Wisconsin on Saturday.

CUW: 1
How it Happened:
-Dominican put a lot of pressure on CUW in the first half with 12 shots.
-The DU defense held up strong as well allowing just 3 first-half shots and saving both shots on goal.
-The Stars couldn't crack into the score column and went into the half tied 0-0.
-Dominican broke the scoreless tie open in the 51st minute when junior Oscar Montejano notched his 5th goal of the season. This was Montejano's fourth consecutive match with a goal.
-DU quickly added to their lead in the 54th minute as junior John Cronnolly, playing in his first match since September, scored to make the score 2-0.
-Cronnolly then added a third DU goal in the 61st minute as he regains his form as one of the best goal scorers in the country.
-CUW was able to narrow the deficit to 3-1 in the 65th minute but DU held on and won 3-1.
Shining Stars:
-Cronnolly had a strong return to the pitch with 2 goals and an assist in just 62 minutes.
-Oscar Montejano continued to shine as the reigning NACC player of the week with a goal and an assist.
-Freshman Ciaran Geraghty had an assist to go along with 2 shots as he continues a strong first-year campaign.
