Gambier, OH. - The Dominican University men's soccer team traveled to Kenyon College for the first-round of the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship.

How it Happened:
-Dominican and Kenyon were two evenly matched teams especially in the first half.
-The Stars had 1 shot on goal to the Owls' 2 but neither squad could break into the scoring column in the first 45 minutes.
-DU went into halftime tied 0-0.
-Dominican then faced 10 shots in the second half with 6 on target.
-The Stars conceded their first goal in over 135 minutes when Kenyon put away a free kick in the 51st minute.
-DU then fell further behind as a second Kenyon goal came just 18 minutes later to put the Stars down 2-0.
-Dominican couldn't come up with many scoring chances and ultimately fell to the #17 team in the country with a 2-0 final score.
Shining Stars:
-Junior John Cronnolly put the most pressure on Kenyon with 3 shots and 1 on target. He also was one of just three players to go the full 90 minutes.
-Fifth-year Vicente Castro ended his career with 2 shots on goal and 1 on target as well.
-Sophomore Oscar Cerritos kept a clean-sheet in the first half with 2 saves made.

What's Next:
Dominican University men's soccer sees their season conclude in the first-round of the NCAA D3 Soccer Championship. The Stars finish the season as NACC Tournament champions and a record of 14-4-3 (9-1-2).
