River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University men's basketball team hosted the Muskies of Lakeland University Saturday afternoon.
Results:
Lakeland: 72
Dominican: 69
How it Happened:
-Dominican shot 48% from the field in the first half, compared to the 40% from Lakeland.
-DU held the lead for almost 12 minutes in the first half despite going into the half down 34-33.
-The Stars struggled for the first three minutes of the second half allowing Lakeland to go on an 10-3 run to open up the half.
-Dominican would claw back into the ball game behind their 53% shooting from the floor in the second half.
-DU had a chance to send the game into overtime but the shot did not fall through, as Dominican lost their second straight 3 point game.
-The Stars and Muskies played a back and forth battle through out the entirety of the game. The game had 9 ties and 11 lead changes.
-The biggest difference in the contest was the free throw disparity. Lakeland went 14-16, while Dominican only went 7-11.
Shining Stars:
-Junior
Camron Scott was the leading scorer for Dominican, collecting 17 points on 6 of 8 shooting. As well as getting 5 blocks and 6 assists.
-Sophomore
Joshua West had 14 points and went 2 for 6 behind the three point line.
-Junior
Terrell Taylor chipped in off the bench with 10 points on 4 of 8 shooting from the field.

The Dominican University men's basketball team will travel to MSOE for their 4th conference game of the year on Wednesday December 13th. Tip-ff will be at 7:00 p.m.
