Kissimmee, Fl. - The Dominican University softball team continued their spring break trip on Sunday.
The Stars took on Saint Joseph's College in the first game and University of Mount Union in the second.
Game 1 Results:
St. Joseph's: 0
Dominican: 5
How it Happened:
-Dominican got the scoring started in the third inning. Junior
Theresa Wilsterman drove in a run to get the Stars on the board.
-DU added to it in the fourth highlighted by an RBI double from junior
Makayla Barnes.
-Dominican led 3-0 after four innings.
-Wilsterman then blasted her second home run of the season and gave the Stars a 4-0 lead.
-DU finished it off in the sixth with an RBI single from junior
Delaney McRiley.
Shining Stars:
-Wilsterman added 2 RBIs and a home run to her impressive early season totals.
-McRiley had the only other RBI for the Stars and she reached three times.
-Sophomore
Emma Woodhouse pitched a complete game shutout with 8 strikeouts and just 1 walk.

Game 2 Results:
Dominican: 7
Mount Union: 1
How it Happened:
-Dominican once again got on the board first. They added a run in the second inning which came from an RBI single by junior
Kayla Faber-Cournane.
-DU added another run in the fourth when
Paytin Salfi drove in the Stars second run.
-Dominican would explode for 5 runs in the fifth inning and take a 7-0 lead.
-The Stars allowed a lone run to cross in the seventh inning but DU won 7-1.
Shining Stars:
-Faber-Cournane followed up her strong pitching performance yesterday with 2 hits and 2 RBIs today.
-Sophomore
Emma Woodhouse had the lone extra-base hit for the Stars in the game.
-Senior
Geneva Pollman was locked in and pitched all 7 innings allowing just 3 hits and 1 earned run.
