Lisle, Ill. - The Dominican University men's volleyball team took on Benedictine University in the NACC Championship match on Saturday.
Results:
Dominican: 1
Ben U: 3
How it Happened:
-Dominican set the pace in the first set earning a 26-24 victory.
-The Stars would lead for most of the second set, but Ben U found a way to pull it out 26-24.
-DU narrowly lost the third set 25-23, despite identical kills and errors as Ben U.
-Dominican would be closed out in the final fourth set 25-22.
Shining Stars:
-FreshmanÂ
Casey Goss paced the offense with 17 kills while SophomoreÂ
Aaron Marrs contributed 15 of his own.
-Freshman
David Valdez got the start as the setter and finished with a career-high 50 assists. This was also the second highest total in NACC tournament history behind current DU assistant coach
Jack McGuire.
-Senior
Jarod Hesse followed up his 19 dig semifinal performance with a solid 14 digs in the championship.

The Dominican University men's volleyball team's season has come to a conclusion. The Stars finished with a final record of 13-12 (7-5) and were the NACC tournament runner-ups.
