River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University baseball team traveled to the Division Street rival of Concordia Chicago for the final two games of the season.
Game 1 Results:
CUC:8

How it Happened:
-The Cougars got on the board first by scoring a run on three hits.
-DU got on the board with Senior
Garrett Wano's 12th homerun of the year. Tying the game up at 1.
-CUC jumped back in front with a run on two hits.
-Concordia Chicago had a big inning in the fourth by scoring 5 runs on 6 hits.
-Stars chipped into the lead in the top of the sixth by Junior Matthew Galdi grounding into a double play but bringing in Sophomore
CJ Kalekas. Dominican was not done scoring a run on an RBI double by Senior
Keegan Brandt.
-Brandt had another RBI double in the top of the eighth bringing the score to 7-4.
-The Cougars added an insurance run by brining in a run on two hits.
-Wano added a second homerun of the game in the top of the 9th inning bringing in Junior
Grayson Downing.

How it Happened:
-Dominican started off game two hot by scoring two runs in the top of the first. By a two RBI triple off the bat of Wano.
-CUC responded right away by scoring 2 runs on 5 hits.
-The Stars grabbed the lead right back by an RBI triple by Freshman
John Tormey.
-Once again the Cougars responded by scoring 2 runs on 3 hits.
-Concordia Chicago added another run in the third on two hits. Making the score 5-3 Cougars.
-DU cut the deficit to one on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Kalekas.
-CUC responded in the bottom half of the fifth inning by scoring a run on three hits.
-The offense of Concordia Chicago exploded in the bottom of the eighth by scoring 4 runs on 2 hits.

Austin Doty went 2-4 with a run scored.
