Elmhurst, Ill. - The Dominican University women's soccer team traveled to Elmhurst University for their opening match of the season.

How it Happened:
-The Stars dug themselves into a 1-0 hole early in the match with an Elmhurst goal scoring in just the 6th minute.
-DU gathered themselves and just before the end of the half, the new transfer
Olivia Darrow scored the first goal of the season.
-Dominican carried that momentum into the second half and took the lead with an electric
Regan Coxon'Â strike.
-The Stars then leaned on their ball control to keep Elmhurst off the board for 84 minutes.
-DU's goalkeeping didn't have to make a single save in route to the first win of the season.
Shining Stars:
-Darrow impressed in her first match with the Stars scoring a goal on 5 shots.
-Coxon's go-ahead goal marked her 67th career goal.

Natalia Lopez,
Ashley Hoffner, and
Kamryn Klinger were asked to play all 90 minutes and were a huge part in keeping Elmhurst to just 1 shot on goal.
