Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Stars Remain Unbeaten in NACC with 2-0 Victory

River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University men's soccer team hosted Lakeland University on Wednesday.

Results:
LLU: 0
DU: 2

How it Happened:
-The Stars got a spark right away as junior Oscar Montejano scored his first goal in a Stars' uniform.
-Montejano's goal was in just the sixth minute of play and was set up with an assist from freshman Michael Rocha.
-Dominican's defense held strong in the first half allowing just 2 shots, neither on target.
-DU went into halftime holding a 1-0 lead.
-The Stars continued to dominate time of possession and shots in the second half.
-Dominican found a second goal off a terrific free-kick goal from sophomore Ivan Guerrero.
-This is the second consecutive NACC match with a goal from Guerrero.

Shining Stars:
-Montejano made his presence known as he led the team in shots, shots on target, goals, and minutes played.
-Despite playing less than half the match, Guerrero made a huge difference with his free-kick bender that found the top corner.
-Junior Dylan Alic captained the defense to a clean sheet and he had two headers that missed the goal by less than a foot.
