Lisle, Ill. - The Dominican University women's basketball team traveled to Benedictine University on Saturday.
Results:
Dominican: 56
Benedictine: 86
How it Happened:
-The Stars offense started off well scoring 18 points in the first quarter on 37 percent from the field.
-The DU defense couldn't stop the Ben U attack as the Eagles scored 29 points to take an early lead.
-Dominican struggled to score in the second quarter and they saw their deficit swell to 56-26 at halftime.
-The Stars had a good third quarter in which they outscored their opponent 17-16 and made 47 percent of their shots.
-DU trailed 72-43 going into the final quarter.
-Dominican once again played even with Ben U in the fourth quarter making just one fewer shot than them.
Shining Stars:
-Freshman Kaitlyn Milison played a career-high 31 minutes and led the team in scoring and rebounding.
-Sophomore Kameron Goodman played 39 minutes and scored in double figures while also leading the team in assists, blocks, and steals.
-Junior Kamryn Woods was efficient from the field and also scored in double figures.
