Watertown, Wis. - The Dominican University men's basketball team traveled to Maranatha Baptist University on Saturday for their final non-conference match-up of the season.
Results:
Dominican: 88
MBU: 75
How it Happened:
-Dominican and MBU were neck and neck throughout the first half.
-DU was cold shooting the ball which allowed MBU to stay in the game. The Stars made just one three in the first half.
-Dominican went into halftime up 37-36.
-The Stars offense improved in almost every category in the second half.
-DU made 59 percent of their second-half shots and 38 percent of their threes.
-The biggest difference in the 88-75 victory was the 50 points in the paint by Dominican.
Shining Stars:
-SophomoreÂ
Joshua West led DU in scoring despite facing foul trouble and only playing 19 minutes.
-JuniorÂ
Camron Scott once again gave Dominican life off the bench as he scored in double figures and led DU in rebounds, assists, and blocks.
-Junior
Andre Bennett was also excellent off the bench making 6 of 8 shots and scoring in double figures.
