Rockford, Ill.- The Dominican University men's basketball team traveled to Rockford University on a three game win streak to take on the Regents.

How it Happened:
-Dominican played solid defense in the first half, allowing 11-27 shooting for Rockford.
-DU shot poorly from behind the arc, shooting 3-10. As well as 37% from the field in the first half.
-The Stars found themselves down 32-29 entering halftime.
-Dominican allowed Rockford to go on a 6-0 run to start the half. Where the Stars found themselves down 38-29.
-From here on out the deficit was never lower then 7 points, because of the shooting struggles from DU.
-Dominican made just 38% of their shots from the floor, but the real struggles was behind the three point line where they shot 21%.
-The Stars won the bench points battle 19-6
Shining Stars:
-Sophomore
Joshua West was leading scorer for Dominican with 18 points on 4-6 shooting from behind the three point line. West also collected 8 rebounds and led the Stars in that category.
-Senior
Robert Taylor collected 16 points on 7-9 shooting.
-Junior
Andre Bennett had 8 points off the bench and also dished out 2 assists.

The Dominican University men's basketball team will be back in the Igini Sports Forum Wednesday night as the Stars host the Warriors of Wisconsin Lutheran College. Tip-off will be at 7:00 p.m.
