River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University men's basketball team was back in action Wednesday night when they hosted the Spartans of Aurora University.

How it Happened:
-Dominican started off slow, finding themselves down 17-7 with 13 minutes left in the half.
-Junior
Andre Bennett led the Stars to back to even by making his first two 3 point jump-shots.
-DU went into halftime down 34-33, but shot 48% from the floor.
-Dominican came out of halftime strong building up a 47-41 lead with 12 minutes remaining.
-DU continued applying pressure and went on a 9-0 run led by multiple Dominican players.
-The Stars then fell to a scoring drought until Sophomore
Joshua West made a big layup to put the lead back up to 7.
-Dominican would end up winning 66-62.
-DU beat AU in the points of the bench battle 29-6.
-Dominican put up 30 points in the paint.
Shining Stars:
-Senior
Robert Taylor was the leading scorer for the Stars finishing with 15 points on 7 of 8 shooting.
-Junior
Andre Bennett chipped in with 13 points off the bench behind his 3 of 5 shooting behind the arc.
-Senior
Jacob Riedl had 8 points and 8 rebounds.
-Junior
Camron Scott did a little bit of everything for the Stars collecting 7 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals.

The Dominican University men's basketball team will travel to Concordia Wisconsin Saturday afternoon to take on the Falcons. Tip-off will be at 2:00p.m.
