Aurora, IL. - The Dominican University women's basketball team went on the road for their first game of the new year against the Aurora Spartans.

How it Happened:
-The Stars fell early to the Spartans trailing 11-23 in the first quarter while shooting 4 of 17 from the field.
-Dominican's offense added 9 more points in the second quarter with Sophomore Kameron Goodman putting up every score.
-DU went into halftime trailing 53- 20. Dominican's leading scorer at the break was Sophomore Kameron Goodman with 13 points.
-The Stars came out of halftime firing, scoring 14 points in the third quarter.
-Dominican's offense found their footing in the fourth scoring 22 points in the quarter on 52% shooting from the field and 40% beyond the arch..
-DU was led by Freshman Lia Saunders in the fourth, who had 10 fourth quarter points.
-The Stars were unable to limit the Spartans' offense who outscored the Stars 61-36 in the second half.

Shining Stars:
-Sophomore Kameron Goodman was the Stars leading scorer with 24 points. She also collected 7 rebounds and 2 steals.
-Freshman Kaitlyn Milison had 13 points going 5 for 10 from the field.
-Freshman Lia Saunders chipped in with 10 points and 4 assists.
-Senior Kamryn Woods finished with 6 rebounds.
