Stars Blanked on Halloween

Box Score Madison, Wis. – The Dominican University women's volleyball team traveled to Edgewood College to face-off against the first seeded Eagles on Halloween.

Results:
Edgewood: 3
Dominican:0

How it Happened:
-Dominican started the match slow losing the first set 25-12 and only collected 5 kills. While, recording 10 attacking errors.
-DU gained a little momentum in the second set but still fell 25-20. They collected 7 kills in the set and lowered the attacking errors number to 5.  
-The Stars played their best set of the match but it was not enough as the fell 25-23 in the final set. Dominican collected team high 13 kills in this set.
-The Senior Charlotte Hain led the Stars in this set recording 3 service aces. Senior Mia Febles also chipped in with 3 kills in the set.
 

Shining Stars:
-Senior Melissa Schmidt was all over the court for the Stars recording 3 kills, 14 assists and 10 digs.
-Senior Mia Febles collected 6 kills, 2 service aces and 5 digs in the match.  
-Sophomore Rubie Morrissette has continued finding her stride collecting 6 kills in the match.
-Senior Charlotte Hain led the team in service aces with 4 and in digs with 18.

Digs: Hain (18)

What's Next:
The Dominican University women's volleyball team will have a two game homestand to finish off the regular season. These last two games are important for the Stars as they are currently sitting in 8th seed of the tournament standings. The first game of the homestand is Saturday November 2nd at 12:00pm against Alverno College
