River Forest, Ill.- The Dominican University men's basketball team traveled to Aurora University on Saturday.
Results:
Dominican: 68
Aurora: 86
How it Happened:
-Dominican had an efficient start to the game making 47 percent of their shots from the field and 80 percent of their free throws in the first half.
-DU dominated points off turnovers in the half as they had 17 to Aurora's 4.
-Aurora was able to make 2 more threes than Dominican and led 44-42 at halftime.
-The Stars struggled to make shots in the second half as their efficiency dropped to just 29 percent from the field.
-DU lost the rebound battle 41-34 and the three point battle 6 to 8.
-Dominican couldn't overcome those margins and lost 86-68 to conclude their season.
Shining Stars:
-Sophomore
Joshua West was hot from deep making 4 threes and leading the Stars in scoring and minutes played.
-Junior
Camron Scott gave the Stars a lift off the bench leading the team in rebounding and playing 20 minutes.
-Senior
Jacob Riedl got after it on the defensive end with 2 steals, a block, and 7 defensive boards.

What's Next:
The Dominican University men's basketball team finishes just outside the top 8 teams that qualify for the NACC tournament. This concludes their season with a record of 10-15 (7-11). This is Dominican's best record in the NACC since the 2016-17 season.
