River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University men's volleyball team hosted cross-town rivals Cougars. Wednesday night for Senior night.Â

How it Happened:
-Dominican started hot winning the first set 25-16 and picking up 11 kills as a team.Â
-This first set was all about the blocks. DU put up 7 blocks in the set. Junior Jason Kougan was a part of all 7 of those blocks.Â
-The second set told the same story with the Stars cruising to a 25-16 victory. In this one had 12 kills on 31 attacks.Â
-DU was getting kills from everyone, including Freshman Ty Geschke, Junior Casey Goss, and Senior Jarod Hesse. Â
-The third set was a back-and-forth battle until the end. Dominican found themselves down as much as 14-9 before battling back to win the set 25-23. DU picked up a game-high 17 kills in the final set.Â
-Geschke led the Stars with 6 kills in the set. Â

Shining Stars:
-Freshman Ty Geschke led the Stars in kills with 10 of them. Geschke also picked up 2 digs.Â
-Junior Casey Goss helped out with 8 kills, 4 service aces, 4 blocks, and 8 digs. Â
-Senior Jarod Hesse also grabbed 8 kills on the night. Hesse brought in 6 digs and 4 blocks as well.Â
-Junior Jason Kougan was all over the net tonight with 10 total blocks. 9 of them assisted, and 1 solo.Â
-Junior Owen Morrow led the team with 33 assists.Â

What's Next:Â
The Dominican University men's volleyball team will finish their regular season up on the road. The Stars will travel to Lakeland University for a showdown with the Muskies. This match will be on Saturday, April 6th, and start at 1:00 p.m.
