Dobuque, IA.- The Dominican University Men's soccer team traveled to Loras College for their second game of the season.

How it Happened:
-Sophomore Nathan Lara got the first 3 shots for the Stars, starting in the 10^th minute of the game.
-The Duhawks opened up the scoring in the 20^th minute of the game.
-Dominican got two more shots in the half. One by Sophomore Nicholas Porada, and the other by 5^th Year Student Olek Melnyk.
-The score going into halftime would be 1-0.
-DU continued to push for the equalizer by getting shots from Melnyk, and Junior Zaid Sibaai.
-The Stars would end up 17 shots with 9 of them in goal, but could not find the equalizer.
 
Shining Stars:
-5th-year student Zach Gamster led the team in shots on goal with 3 of them.
 -5^th -year student Olek Melnyk led the team in shots with 4 but none of them found the target.
-5th-year student Oscar Montejano fired 3 shots with 1 of them being a shot on goal.
-Sophomore Nathan Lara chipped in with 3 shots and 1 of them was on goal.
-Senior Shane Marinkovich finished the game with 3 saves.

What's Next:
Dominican University men's soccer team will be back at West Campus Field Wednesday September 4^th against Knox College. Kick-off will be at 2:00 p.m.
