Dominican Earns Gritty Draw

River Forest, Ill. – The Dominican University men's soccer team continued their conference slate by hosting the Green Knights of St. Norbert College.

 Results:
 Dominican: 1
 St. Norbert: 1

 How it Happened:
 -Both sides would feel their way into the match, with Senior John Cronnolly tallying the only shot within the first 40 minutes.
 -The Stars would break the deadlock before halftime after 5th-year student Zach Gamster was able to slot one home off of a feed from Freshman Jonathan Almaguer.
 -DU would take the 1-0 lead into half-time.
 -After a physical opening to the 2nd half, St. Norbert would find the equalizer, knotting the score at 1 all.
 -Dominican would strive to gain back the lead, but were unable to solve the Green Knight's defense.
 -The match would finish with a full-time score of 1-1. The Stars finished with 10 shots, 6 of them finding the target.

 Shining Stars:
 -5th-year Student Zach Gamster fired home his 3rd goal of the season and played the full 90 minutes.
 -Freshman Jonathan Almaguer recorded his first collegiate assist on the Gamster goal.
 -Senior John Cronnolly led the Stars with 5 shots, 3 of which hit the target.
 -Senior Shane Marinkovich had 3 saves in net for Dominican.
