Fond du Lac, Wis. – The Dominican University Women's volleyball team was on the road for a matinee match against Marian on Saturday.

How it Happened:
-The Stars trailed 9-3 in the first set, but a kill by Senior
Ellery Shea and an ace by Senior
Lola Butler brought DU back into striking distance.
-Dominican trailed 17-12 after a 3-1 run, which included a kill by Senior
Veronica Henkel and a kill and a block by Shea. The Stars ultimately came up short in the opening frame by a score of 25-14.
-After falling behind 2-0 to open the second set, DU went on a 4-0 run, including a kill and an ace by Henkel.
-The Sabres controlled the rest of the second set and took a 2-0 lead in the match, winning Set 2 25-9. Henkel had 3 kills in the middle frame.
-Dominican continued to fight in the third set, as both squads were knotted at 10-10 after a 5-1 run by the Stars.
-DU could not contain Marian's serving, as the Stars dropped the third set by a score of 25-15.

Veronica Henkel provided a team-leading 8 kills and 2 aces.

Kathryn Ksiezak both notched 3 kills.

Kayla Amormino collected 8 assists.

What's Next:
Dominican University Women's Volleyball is now 2-19 (1-10 NACC) on the season. The Stars will return home for a two-game homestand to close out the 2025 season, starting with a 6:00 p.m. match against Concordia Chicago on Thursday, November 6
th.
