Indianola, Iowa. – The Dominican University Men's Basketball team closed out the Bruce Wilson Shootout in the consolation game against North Central (MN) on Saturday.

How it Happened:
-North Central jumped out to an 8-0 run to start the game, but the Stars cut into the lead after a three by Senior
Adrian Pelszynski and a tip-in by Senior
Dominic Crapia.
-Sophomore
Frank Paszkowski knocked down his first three of the afternoon at the midpoint of the first half with the Stars trailing 23-15.
-The Rams were leading 29-20 with 7 minutes left in the first half before Sophomore
Braydon Murphy rattled off 5 points to cut the deficit to 29-25.
-After a pair of free throws by Paszkowski and a three from Freshman
Elijah Daugherty before the break, Dominican went into halftime trailing 38-34.
-DU had its first lead of the day at 39-38 after a pair of free throws by Sophomore Ismael Ndiaye Matheu. Paszkowski then drained another shot from deep to retake the DU lead at 42-20 with 15 minutes remaining.
-Both squads traded the lead heading into the final stretch of the contest, with Freshman Chase LeFever putting the Stars up by two with 5:40 to go.
-A clutch three from Pelszynski, followed by a mid-range jumper by Paszkowski, pushed the Dominican lead to 68-63 with under 3 minutes to play.
-North Central stormed back in the next 2 minutes, knotting the game at 71-71.
-The Stars could not get the stop they needed defensively in the final minute and fell by a final score of 77-73.
-DU shot 42.1% from the field, 33.3% from three, and 78.3% from the free throw line.
-Dominican made 7 threes compared to the Rams' 4, and had 38 points from the bench.
Shining Stars:
-Senior
Adrian Pelszynski dropped 15 points and was 5-6 from the free throw line.
-Sophomore
Frank Paszkowski tallied 15 points, 4 rebounds, and was 3-7 from deep.
-Freshman
Elijah Daugherty continues to be a solid option off the bench for the Stars, notching 14 points on 4-8 shooting.
-Sophomore
Braydon Murphy posted 10 points, 4 boards, and 2 blocks.
-Freshman
Chase LeFevre led DU in rebounding with 6 and assists with 3.

The Dominican University Men's Basketball team moves to 0-4 on the season. The Stars will travel for an exhibition contest against Division I opponent University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Tuesday, November 25th, before heading to Wartburg College on Saturday, November 29
th. Tip-off against Warburg is slated for 2:00 p.m.
