River Forest, Ill. – The #4 Dominican University Women's Soccer team looked to upset #1 Illinois Tech on the road in the NACC Semifinals on Wednesday.

How it Happened:
-Dominican put an emphasis on defense at the beginning of the game.
-Sophomore
Gianna Stanek was lights out in the first 21 minutes, as the goalkeeper made 5 saves.
-Illinois Tech broke through the stout DU defense in the 38
th minute and opened up the scoring.
-The Stars went into the break trailing 1-0.
-The Scarlet Hawks doubled their lead in the 52
nd minute and added a third in the 68
th minute.
-Senior
Sierra Rioux had Dominican's best chance of the night, but her shot was saved by Illinois Tech's keeper.
-IIT tacked on a penalty kick goal in the 85
th minute and defeated the Stars by a final score of 4-0.
