River Forest, Ill. – Dominican University Men's Volleyball traveled to crosstown rival Concordia University Chicago for their final road match of the 2025 regular season.

Concordia Chicago: 3

How it Happened:
-After falling behind 6-3 in the first set, Senior
Tanner Dahman would go on a 7-0 run to give DU a 13-8 lead.
-The Stars would close out Set 1, 25-23, after clutch serving from Senior
Nathaniel Cossyleon. Sophomore
Ty Geschke and Sophomore
Thomas Hirsch combined for 10 kills in the opening frame.
-Dominican would then have a sluggish start to the second set, with CUC eventually taking a 17-11 lead.
-The Cougars would square the match at one set apiece after taking the second, 25-21. Cossyleon had 4 kills and a block in Set 2.
-A back-and-forth start to the third set would settle to a Stars lead at 19-15 after a 4-0 run from Geschke.
-DU took Set 3, 25-19, and held a 2-1 advantage in the match. Dahman had 2 aces in the third.
-Set 4 had several runs on both sides, most notably 3-0 runs from Hirsch and Cossyleon.
-CUC pushed the match to five sets after claiming Set 4, 25-23. Geschke, Hirsch, and Junior
Michael Greco all had 3 kills in the frame.
-Dominican jumped out to an early 6-4 advantage in the fifth set after a sequence involving a kill and an ace from Dahman and a kill from Geschke.
-Holding a 12-7 lead, the Stars then yielded a 5-0 run to the Cougars, tying the match a 12-12.
-Concordia Chicago would walk away with the victory, defeating DU 18-16 in the fifth set.
-DU finished with 10 aces compared to CUC's 6.
Shining Stars:
-Sophomore
Ty Geschke posted a team-high 20 kills along with 5 blocks and an ace.
-Sophomore
Thomas Hirsch set a new career-high with 14 kills on .542 hitting.
-Sophomore
Grant Henderson totaled 14 digs in the defeat.
-Senior
Owen Morrow notched 44 assists and 8 digs.
-Senior
Tanner Dahman had a career-high 6 aces, the most in a match by a single DU player since Senior
Casey Goss had 6 against Wisconsin Lutheran on March 23
rd, 2024.

What's Next:
Dominican University Men's Volleyball fell to 12-10 on the season and is now 8-3 in NACC play. The Stars will host Lakeland University for Senior Night on Saturday, April 5
th. Senior Night festivities will begin before the match, with the first serve being at 1:00 p.m.
