Box Score River Forest, Ill. – Dominican University Women's Soccer hosted the Thunder of Wheaton College to open the 2025 season on Friday.

  How it Happened:
  - Wheaton established themselves early in the first half, opening the scoring in the 16th minute off a broken play.
  - Senior Natalia Lopez and Senior Sierra Rioux both had shots wide of the target during the first half.
  -The Stars would head into halftime trailing 1-0.
  - In the 52nd minute, Freshman Logan Shanks had an effort on goal saved.
  -Sophomore Tia Garr had a shot denied by the Thunder keeper in the 73rd minute as DU pressed for an equalizer.
  -Dominican could not find the tying goal by the final horn and fell in the opening game of the season by a final of 1-0.

  -Senior Natalia Lopez led Dominican with 3 shots in 83 minutes.
  -Sophomore Tia Garr and Freshman Logan Shanks each notched a shot on target.
