Schiller Park, Ill. – The Dominican University cross country program competed in the North Park Concordia University of Chicago Invite for their first meet of the 2025 season.

Results:
Men's XC: 2^nd of 8 teams
Women's XC: 6^th of 8 teams

Shining Stars:
-Sophomore Jaime Favela put on a show at this event finishing with a time of 16:26.2 in the 5000-meter event, this put the sophomore in 6^th place for the whole meet.  
-Junior Samuel Malke was the second-best DU runner finishing with a time of 17:44.3.
-Junior Diego Valdivia has continued to be a fantastic runner for Dominican running a 17:55.2 in this event.
-Freshman Andrea Camacho showed out in her first collegiate meet running a 22:42.6 in the 5000-meter event on the women's side.
-Sophomore Fatima Duran continued to be a force running a 24:21.3.
-Sophomore Mary Bitter was the third fastest runner for the Stars putting up a time of 25:57.8 in this meet.

What's Next:
The Dominican University Cross Country programs will compete in the Lewis Opener next Friday, September 5^th, for their second meet of the fall.
