Bloomington, Ill. – The Dominican University women's soccer team heads on the road for the three-game road trip, with the first one being the Stars final non-conference game of the season.


Series History vs. Illinois Wesleyan:
All-Time Record / Streak: 0-3-1 / T1
-Dominican and Illinois Wesleyan first played on 10/11/2008 in Bloomington, Ill. Dominican lost 1-0.
-The Stars have scored 3 goals in four matches against the Titans, but all three of those goals came in the game last season.  
-DU and IWU tied 3-3 last season in Bloomington.  
-Dominican is 0-2-1 on the road facing Illinois Wesleyan.

-The Stars hold a 2-3-1 record in 2025.

-Head Coach Carlos Carrillo enters his 12^th season at the helm of DU Women's Soccer. Carrillo has amassed a record of 151-49-16 in that time.

Last Time Out:
-The Stars dominated on homecoming in their second conference game of the season, in a 3-0 win over Marian.
-Senior Sierra Rioux collected player of the game for the Stars, playing in 62 minutes of the match and collecting a goal, two assists, and a shot on goal.
-Junior Mackenzie Cuddihy set the tone for the whole match, scoring in her only shot of the match.
-Senior Mia Taullahu came in off the bench and made her mark, scoring a goal on her lone shot of the match.
-Senior Natalia Lopez played in all 90 minutes and recorded two assists with three shots.
-Junior Meghan Wilhite collected 3 shots, with 1 of them being on target, in her minutes off the bench.
-Sophomore goalkeeper Meadow Pratt added 2 saves to her name.

Familiar Faces:
-Dominican returns senior Kamryn Klinger, who has been the heart and soul for the Stars as a defensive midfielder. In 2024, Klinger was honored with second team all-conference in the NACC by having 18 appearances and 15 starts for Dominican, while playing 1292 minutes. Klinger was one of the three players from Dominican that represented Team USA in the DIII Soccer Tour.
-Senior Natalia Lopez returns for her senior campaign as a midfielder for the Stars. Last season Lopez had 6 goals, 4 assists, and 25 shots on goal in her 20 appearances through the 2024 season. Lopez was honored with a first-team all-conference in the NACC. In Lopez's three-year career at Dominican, she has scored 18 goals, collected 10 assists, with 4 game-winning goals in her 59 appearances in a Stars uniform.
-Senior Sarah Matuszek will be back in a Stars uniform this upcoming season, where she has been a huge part of the Dominican style of play on the outside. Matuszek is coming off a season where she scored 3 goals, and added 6 assists while appearing in all 20 matches in the 2024 season. Matuszek earned first-team all-conference in the NACC last season.
-Senior Mia Taullahu is back for Dominican this upcoming year and is looking to continue creating havoc on the outside as a forward. Taullahu collected a goal and 6 assists in her 17 appearances in the 2024 season.
-Senior Mia Dosen will be back for the Stars in her second season at Dominican. She will be wearing a new number this season, changing from #34 to #10. Last season, Dosen collected 7 goals and 2 assists with 17 shots on goal in her 20 appearances.
-Sophomore Ariana Barney is looking to take another big step in her second season at Dominican. Barney finished her freshman campaign by having 6 goals and 4 assists in 20 appearances. With this, Barney is tied for the most goal contributions from the 2024 season with 10.

Shining Stars:
-Freshman Logan Shanks has been a huge success for Dominican early in the season, scoring 2 goals while having 6 shots, 5 of them being on target.
-Senior Natalia Lopez has started all 5 games for the Stars and has scored 1 goal on 11 total shots. Lopez has 4 shots on goal. Lopez has also tallied 2 assists on the season.
-Senior Sierra Rioux has come on strong for the Stars, scoring a goal and collecting 3 assists while having 8 shots and, 5 of them on frame.
-Senior Sarah Matuszek has continued to bring a burst of speed like she always has in a Stars uniform and she has collected 6 shots, while 5 of those being on target.
-Sophomore Gianna Stanek has played in 3 games this season while making 15 saves.
