River Forest, Ill. – Dominican University Men's Soccer closed out their three-game home stand to open the season against Lake Forest on Saturday.

-In the 12
th minute, Freshman
Cody Leyba stretched out to save a Forester effort on goal.
-Junior
Tristen Banquil recorded Dominican's first shot in the 31
st minute.
-Lake Forest took a 1-0 lead off a corner in the 37
th minute.
-The Stars would head into halftime trailing 1-0.
-In the 56
th minute, Sophomore
Joshua Trujillo had an effort on goal saved by the Lake Forest keeper.
-Freshman
Enzo Cinque had two shots on goal denied in the 70
th and 72
nd minutes.
-The Foresters added an insurance marker from the penalty spot in the 82
nd minute.
-In the 88
th minute, Cinque drew a foul in the box. Senior
Ryan Gutierrez stepped up and buried the penalty to cut the Forester lead to 2-1.
-Dominican ran out a time and fell by a final of 2-1.
