River Forest, Ill. – The Dominican University Men's Basketball team headed down Division Street to face foe Concordia Chicago, Wednesday night.

How it Happened:
-Senior
Dominic Crapia got the scoring going for the Stars with a layup on their second possession of the game.
-After that point, both squads traded buckets until the ten-minute mark when CUC went on a 5-0 run, making the score 24-19 with under nine to play.
-This Cougars run ignited a Stars response by hitting back-to-back threes on pursuing possessions by Sophomore
Frank Paszkowski and Freshman
Elijah Daugherty. Daugherty kept the rolling, making a layup to give DU a 27-26 lead with just over seven minutes to play.
-With under five left in the first half and the score tied at 29, Dominican turned the game around, scoring the final 10 of 14 points and taking a 39-33 lead into the break. Senior
Adrian Pelszynski held 6 of those points by hitting two threes during this run.
-The Stars shot 48% from the floor and 45% from downtown in the opening 20 minutes of action.
-Concordia Chicago responded instantly to open the second half, going on a 5-0 run, making the score 39-38 before Sophomore Ismael Ndiaye made a layup for the first DU points of the second half.
-Ndiaye's layup gave the Stars a boost of energy that included an 8-0 run. Crapia made the last two buckets on this run to get the score to 49-42 with 14 minutes to play.
-CUC brought the game back to even at the halfway point of the second half, tying the game up at 52.
-After trading buckets for the next three minutes, Dominican tried to pull away, creating a 61-56 lead after Crapia hit back-to-back threes.
-The Cougars did not go away, though, scoring 19 of the final 25 points in the game, including making 6 free throws in the final minute of play.
Shining Stars:
-Sophomore
Braydon Murphy led the team in points with 15. Murphy grabbed 8 rebounds along with 2 blocks and a steal.
-Senior Dominican Crapia shot the ball well for DU, adding 14 points on 5-8 shooting and 2-3 shooting from deep. The senior also earned 3 steals.
-Freshman
Elijah Daugherty found his way back into double figures with 11 points. The freshman was perfect from the charity strip and also led the team in assists with 4.

What's Next:
The Dominican University Men's Basketball team moves to 2-22 (2-15 NACC) on the season. The Stars will wrap up their season on Saturday, February 21st, with an away game at St. Norbert College. Tip-off is set for 3:15 p.m.
