De Pere, Wis. – The Dominican University Women's Basketball team traveled to St. Norbert College for their final game of the year on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened:
-Freshman
Kennedy Yost got the first point in the game for the Stars on a layup in their first possession of the game.
-DU and SNC traded buckets for the next 7 minutes until the Green Knights went on a 9-2 run to end the first quarter, giving SNC a 23-13 lead at the end of 10 minutes.
-Dominican shot 54% from the floor in the first quarter, with Yost earning 4 points.
-Yost kept up the good shooting, scoring the first 7 points in the second quarter for the Stars.
-After the run by Yost, St. Norbert went on a team run of 8-2 to give them a 33-22 lead with just over four minutes left in the first half.
-Freshman
Emily Bouaphanh earned two buckets in that final four minutes to help get Dominican to a 9-point deficit at the half.
-Junior
Lia Saunders earned the first points of the second half with a layup and cut the SNC lead to 39-32.
-The Green Knights instantly pushed their lead back to 14 after the Saunders bucket.
-DU kept it in the striking distance range until a 4-0 run to end the third quarter pushed the St. Norbert lead to 16 with ten minutes left to play.
-Saunders collected 7 points in the third quarter.
-SNC kept the momentum of the third quarter ending and brought it to the fourth, starting on a 6-0 run that moved their lead to 23.
-The Stars brought it back to 16 after Freshman
Xi Le O'Neill hit a three and back-to-back jumpers by Saunders and Yost.
-The two schools traded buckets for the rest of the game, with Dominican falling by 18 on the road.
-DU shot 38.2% from the floor and 82.4% from the charity stripe in the game. The Stars also collected 14 second-chance points.
Shining Stars:
-Freshman
Kennedy Yost finished her freshman season in a big way, scoring 16 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and collecting 2 steals. Yost went 6-6 from the free-throw line.
-Junior
Lia Saunders earned 15 points and 4 steals. Saunders went 3-3 from the free-throw line and grabbed 2 rebounds.
-Freshman
Emily Bouaphanh reached double figures with 10 points.

Dominican University Women's Basketball finished their 2025-2026 season with a 10-15 record overall and a 4-13 NACC conference record. Dominican women's basketball will be back on the court in November to start their 2026-2027.
