River Forest, Ill. – RV Dominican University Men's Volleyball looked to extend its win streak to three matches at Concordia Wisconsin on Tuesday.

How it Happened:
-The opening set began tight, but a 2-0 run for DU gave the Stars an 11-8 lead.
-After Junior
Ty Geschke sided out for Dominican at 14-10, three aces in four serves by Junior
Thomas Hirsch extended the Stars' lead to 18-10.
-CUW would claw back two points, but Sophomore
Landon Kassulke finished out the opening stanza on a 7-0 run from behind the line, which included contributions across the court. Dominican took the opening set, 25-12, and was led by Geschke's 5 kills.
-The Stars jumped out to a 5-2 lead after an ace by Kassulke to begin the second set.
-With the Falcons cutting into the DU lead, a 7-1 run by Dominican, capped off by a kill from Sophomore
Landon Kassulke, extended the lead to 13-7.
-Dominican continued to keep Concordia Wisconsin at bay down the stretch of the middle frame, as kills from Esparza, Freshman

Casey Goss pushed the Stars out to a 20-12 advantage.
-An error behind the line for CUW closed out a 25-16 win in Set 2 for DU. Hirsch totaled 4 kills and a block in the second.
-Looking to close out the match, the Stars got off to a blistering start in the third set, taking a 10-2 lead after a 5-0 run by Goss and a 5-0 run by Esparza.
-Both squads would then begin to trade side outs in the middle portion of the frame.
-The relentless Dominican attack continued to put away points, as the Stars reached a 20-11 lead after Freshman
Eli Rodda put a ball away.
-Dominican completed the sweep over CUW by taking the third set 25-15. 5 different Stars recorded a kill in the final frame.
-DU out-blocked Concordia Wisconsin 4-0, marking the first time since 2/8/2022 (@ Wabash) that the Stars did not have a single attack blocked.
-As a team, the Stars hit at a clip of .465, their fifth-highest mark of the season.

Ty Geschke led the way for DU in attacking, notching 13 kills on .455 hitting along with 7 digs.
-Junior
Thomas Hirsch totaled 11 kills on .667 hitting alongside a team-high 4 aces.
-Graduate Student
Casey Goss powered 9 kills on .563 hitting and added a team-leading 3 blocks.
-Sophomore
Landon Kassulke recorded 38 assists in the sweep.
-Sophomore
Kendall Esparza tallied 8 kills on .412 hitting and served 2 aces.

What's Next:
RV Dominican University Men's Volleyball improved to 15-5 (7-2 NACC) on the 2026 season. With the win, DU has clinched a berth to the NACC tournament for the eighth straight season (2020 season canceled due to COVID-19). The Stars will return home on Friday, March 27
th, for a 5:00 p.m. match against California, Santa Cruz.
