Milwaukee, Wis. – #2 Seed Dominican University Men's Volleyball faced off against #1 Seed and No. 13-ranked Milwaukee School of Engineering for the NACC Tournament Championship on Sunday afternoon.
Results:
Dominican: 3
No. 13 MSOE: 0
How it Happened:
-MSOE had the upper hand early in the first set, as the Stars fell behind 8-3.
-Dominican cut into the Raider lead and squared the set at 12-12 on an MSOE attacking error.
-The Stars continued to take advantage of MSOE's mistakes and were first to reach twenty, holding a 20-19 lead.
-Junior
Ty Geschke rattled a 3-0 run at the line, followed by clutch serving by Freshman
Eli Rodda as DU took the opening set by a score of 25-22. Sophomore
Kendall Esparza totaled 6 kills and an ace in the opening stanza.
-Dominican and MSOE would open the second set by trading side-outs, with the lead eventually setting with DU at 12-9 after a block by Geschke and Sophomore
Landon Diaz.
-After the Raiders knotted the set at 14-14, a 4-1 run by the Stars built back up the lead, capped off by an out-of-system kill by Esparza.
-Sophomore
Landon Kassulke put together a 4-0 run from behind the line late in the second to put Dominican in the driver's seat, aided by a pair of kills from Geschke and a kill by Graduate Student
Casey Goss.
-The Stars closed out the second set by a score of 25-18 and took a commanding 2-0 lead over the Raiders. Goss notched 4 kills in the middle frame.
-Set 3 opened highly contested, with both squads knotted at 9-9.
-The momentum then swung back toward the Stars, as an impressive 4-0 run, including a monster solo block by Geschke, propelled DU to a 13-9 advantage.
-Dominican kept chipping away at the MSOE defense, with timely kills by Junior
Thomas Hirsch and Esparza to put the Stars ahead 20-13.
-Kassulke aced the Raiders to put DU up 24-17, putting the Stars one point away from the title.
-A kill by Goss on the outside sealed the NACC title for Dominican, as the Navy and Gold took the third set by a score of 25-18. Geschke recorded 3 kills and a block in the title-clinching third.
Shining Stars:
-Junior
Grant Henderson capped off an incredible tournament with a team-high 14 digs in the match. Henderson was named Co-Star of the Match and Tournament MVP.
-Graduate Student
Casey Goss received Co-Star of the Match for his 12 kills on .600 hitting. The Frankfort, Illinois, native added an ace and 4 digs.
-Junior
Ty Geschke led the attacking effort for DU with 13 kills, along with 2 blocks and 8 digs. Geschke received All-Tournament Team honors, the second of his career.
-Sophomore
Kendall Esparza totaled 9 kills on .429 hitting, 2 aces, a block, and 4 digs. The Lancaster, California native was the 3
rd Star selected for the NACC All-Tournament Team.
-Sophomore
Landon Kassulke collected 36 assists and 7 digs en route to the title.
-Junior
Thomas Hirsch notched 5 kills and a pair of blocks.

What's Next:
#2 Seed Dominican University Men's Volleyball improved to 22-5 (10-2 NACC) on the 2026 season. The Stars clinched a berth to the NCAA DIII Men's Volleyball Championships for the fourth time in the last six years, with their last appearance in 2024. DU will await their first-round opponent and host location in the Selection Show tomorrow, April 13
th, at 9:00 a.m.
