Decatur, Ill. – The Dominican University Women's Volleyball team is ready to travel to Millikin University to be a part of Millikin Inivte. The Stars will play three matches in this tournament, in the following order: Franklin College, Ohio Northern University, and Millikin University.

Series History vs. Franklin College:  
All-Time Record/Streak: 0-0/N/A  
-This will be the first matchup between Dominican and Franklin College.  
 
Series History vs. Ohio Northern University:  
All-Time Record/Streak: 0-0/N/A 
-This will be the first matchup between Dominican and Ohio Northern University.
 
Series History vs. Millikin University:  
All-Time Record/Streak: 1-4/L2
-The first time these two schools played was on September 10^th, 2004, on a neutral site. Millikin won 3-0 in this matchup.
-Dominican won the only matchup played in Decatur, IL. This match was on 9/1/2015, with the Stars winning 3-1.
-The last time these two schools played was 9/1/2021 inside the Igini Sports Forum, with Big Blue winning 3-1.
 
 
DU in Review:  
-DUWVB is 0-6 to start the 2026 season. They went 0-4 in their latest tournament at MSOE Raider Invite.
-Dominican completed the 2025 season with a 2-21 record, including going 1-12 in conference and 1-9 at home.  
-The Stars missed out on the 2025 NACC Tournament. DU's last conference tournament appearance came in the shortened 2020 season.  
-Head Coach Oliva Kofie starts her 3rd season as Dominican's Head Coach.  
 
Familiar Faces:  
-Senior Kathryn Ksiezak started in 23 matches last season and was 3rd in kills with 66 while also leading her team in blocks with 38 in her junior campaign.   
-Senior Jillian Ross looks to finish her senior year strong. In the 2025 season, Ross started in 23 matches where she collected 42 kills and 18 blocks.   
-Sophomore Karolina Stonkus led her team with 411 assists and 29 service aces. Stonkus also had 34 kills.   
-Junior Fabianna Pizzo looks to continue to be a rock for DU. Last season she played in 23 matches while collecting 255 digs.   

Last Time Out:
-Dominican fell 3-0 to Marian.
-Senior Kathryn Ksiezak collected 4 kills in the match, which led the team. Ksiezak also collected 2 blocks, with one of them being a solo block.
-Freshman Mawedda Abu-Shukhaidem picked up 8 assists and 6 digs in the match.
-Sophomore Taylor Lupton earned 6 digs.
-Sophomore Olivia Pollak collected 5 digs.
-The Stars fell 3-1 to Knox College.
-Sophomore Karolina Stonkus led the way for Dominican with 12 kills, 10 assists, 4 aces, and 5 digs in the match.
-Freshman Valeria Garcia collected 7 kills and 13 digs.
-Senior Katie Ksiezak added 6 kills in the match.
-Senior Jaylynn Miller picked up 6 kills.
-Sophomore Olivia Pollak made a difference on the offensive end and defensive end. Pollak led the team in assists with 17 and digs with 18.
-Senior Cassandra Thawley earned 10 digs.
 
Scouting Report vs. Franklin:  
-The Grizzlies are 8-1 and currently riding an 8-game winning streak.
-Franklin lost their first match to IU Columbus and since have not lost a set in 8 straight matches.
-Franklin will play Spalding College in Louisville, Kentucky, September 16^th.
-Last season the Grizzlies went 15-15 and lost in the quarterfinals of their conference tournament.
 
Scouting Report vs. Ohio Northern:  
-Ohio Northern is currently 6-3 overall on the season and currently riding a 4-game win streak.
-The Polar Bears swept their own tournament (ONU Invitational), beating Adrian, Pitt-Bradford, Berea, and Manchester.
-ONU will play two matches on Friday night before playing the Stars on Saturday morning.
-Last season the Polar Bears went 12-18 overall and saw their season end in the semifinals of the OAC Tournament.
 
Scouting Report vs. Millikin:  
-Millikin is 5-3 on the season and has won back-to-back matches.
-Big Blue is 0-1 on their home court, losing to RV University of Chicago.
-Millikin will play three matches before playing Dominican on Saturday afternoon. The first match they will play will be tonight at Greenville University.
-Big Blue beat Rose-Hulman and Wisconsin Lutheran in their last two matches, both wins were a sweep.
-Last season Millikin went 15-14 overall and falling in the semifinals of the CCIW Tournament, losing to Carthage College.
