Dominican Heads to Indiana for Another Non-Conference Match

Notre Dame, IN—The Dominican University Women's Volleyball team prepares for another non-conference road match on Tuesday night.

Series History vs. St. Mary's:
 All-Time Record / Streak: 1-2 / L1
-Dominican and St. Mary's first played on 10/1/2016 (L, 3-0).
-The Stars are 1-1in the Igini, and this will be their first time playing at St. Mary's.
-Dominican fell to the Belles 3-0 last time they met on 9/19/2025.

DU in Review:  
-DUWVB is 0-9 to start the 2026 season. They went 0-3 in their latest tournament at Millikin Invite.
-Dominican completed the 2025 season with a 2-21 record, including going 1-12 in conference and 1-9 at home.  
-The Stars missed out on the 2025 NACC Tournament. DU's last conference tournament appearance came in the shortened 2020 season.  
-Head Coach Oliva Kofie starts her 3rd season as Dominican's Head Coach.  
 
Familiar Faces:  
-Senior Kathryn Ksiezak started in 23 matches last season and was 3rd in kills with 66 while also leading her team in blocks with 38 in her junior campaign.   
-Senior Jillian Ross looks to finish her senior year strong. In the 2025 season, Ross started in 23 matches where she collected 42 kills and 18 blocks.   
-Sophomore Karolina Stonkus led her team with 411 assists and 29 service aces. Stonkus also had 34 kills.   
-Junior Fabianna Pizzo looks to continue to be a rock for DU. Last season she played in 23 matches while collecting 255 digs.   

Last Time Out:
-Dominican fell 3-0 to Millikin.
-Junior Ella Murray collected 5 kills on 17 attempts in the match.
-Senior Jaylynn Miller added 4 kills and a block in the match.
-Sophomore Karolina Stonkus earned 7 assists with 2 kills, 1 ace, and 5 digs.
-Freshman Gracelynn Perry picked up an ace, 3 assists, and 4 digs.-


Scouting Report vs. Saint Mary's:  
-The Belles are 6-5 in the 2026 season.
-St. Mary's won against fellow NACC schools, Benedictine (3-0) and Concordia Chicago (3-0) and lost to Aurora (3-0).
-The Belles are 1-1 at home and have not played a conference game yet.
-Last season St. Mary's went 16-11 and lost in the first round of their conference tournament to Trine. They lost in 5 sets.
