Dominican University alumnus Cody Mueller joins the Dominican University baseball coaching staff as an assistant coach for the 2016 season after the Addison native earned four letters under head coach Steve Hardman from 2012 through 2015.

A right-hand pitcher, Mueller made 43 career appearances over the last four seasons, more than any other pitcher for Dominican University during that time period, and posted a career 4.96 earned run average in 201.1 innings of work. As a freshman, Mueller worked 51.2 innings, making ten appearances out of the bullpen, and logged a career-best 38 strikeouts. During his sophomore and junior campaigns, Mueller made a total of 18 starts, nine each season, limiting opposing hitters to a .275 batting average while punching out 65 hitters.

As a coach, Mueller has spent time with the Schaumburg Seminoles including his recent hire as the Seminoles’ 15U Nationals head coach.Â
