Dexter Price, a pitcher for the Schaumburg Boomers, joins the Dominican University baseball staff under head coach Steve Hardman. Price, a member of the Boomers since 2013, has won a pair of Frontier League championships during his professional career, helping the Boomers to win in 2013 and 2014 while racking up 53 saves throughout his career.
In 2011, Price was taken in the 30th round of the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks, spending two seasons with the organization’s rookie affiliate, the Missoula Osprey.
A graduate of Auburn University, Price went 7-3 on the mound in two seasons with the Tigers after posting a perfect 10-0 record in his senior year at Air Academy High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
