Joe Froelich, a native of River Forest, returns to Dominican University for his fourth season as an assistant coach after winning a 2010 NCAA Division III Baseball National Championship with the Illinois Wesleyan University Titans. In three seasons with the Titans, Froelich posted an 8-8 record on the mound with a 4.45 earned run average. During the team’s championship run in 2010, Froelich won a pair of postseason contests including a 4-3 win over Linfield College where the 6’3 left-hander threw seven innings in relief, striking out six and walking none while surrendering just one run.
