Pascual Santiago

Pascual Santiago, Jr., brings with him over ten years of coaching experience at every level, including three different college stops, as he joins the Dominican University baseball staff for the 2010-2011 season.
Santiago’s most recent stops include a stint with the Robert Morris University Eagles as an associate head coach since 2008 and three seasons with the Windy City Thunderbolts as a bench coach and bullpen coach. In 2008, Santiago helped guide the Thunderbolts to a Frontier League Championship and then helped Windy City to a fourth straight playoff berth in 2009 and 2010.
At the college level, Santiago’s resume includes improving the RMU Eagles from 5 wins in 2008 to a 36-19 overall record in 2009. Then in 2010, the Eagles claimed the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference championship for the first time in university history. At Moraine Valley, Santiago helped head coach Mike Kashirsky turn around the Cyclones program, with back-to-back 30 win seasons. Santiago has also made stops along the way at Olive Harvey College and Lewis University, serving as an assistant coach with both for one season.
In addition to his baseball background, Santiago has also logged coaching experience in football, most recently working with the Chicago Christian High School football program as an assistant coach.
