Dominican University Athletics

Dan Borys, a four-year letterwinner for head coach Mark White, is back for his fourth season with the the Dominican University men’s basketball staff as an assistant coach.  Borys, a 2009 graduate from Dominican, never missed a game in his four-year career for the Stars, appearing in 104 games, starting in 58 games, between 2005 and 2009.  For his collegiate career, Borys scored 896 points and grabbed 399 rebounds, including averaging a career-best 16.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game as he earned 2^nd Team All-Northern Athletics Conference honors as a senior.

A native of Crown Point, Ind., in 2007, Borys was named a top-50 basketball player in Porter County Conference history, finishing his career at Boone Grove High School as one of the top five scorers in Boone Grove history.  As a senior, Borys was named to the All-area team as he averaged 22.2 points and 8.1 rebounds per game while shooting 72 percent from the free throw line.
