Matt Nelson comes to Dominican after spending the last two seasons as an assistant coach with the Benedictine University women’s basketball team and as an assistant girls’ track coach at West Chicago Community High School.
 
As a collegiate basketball player, Nelson enjoyed a four-year career at Ripon College, leading the Midwest Conference in three-point percentage his junior season at 48 percent.  He was named a captain his senior season and honored with the Jack Arnold award for leadership and courage.
