Edwin Rodriguez is the latest in a long line of former players to join head coach Erick Baumann’s staff after receiving his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Dominican University in January 2012. Rodriguez joined the Stars as an assistant coach for the 2012 season.
Rodriguez, a member of the 2007 Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) All-Freshman Team, was a part of four conference regular season and conference tournament championships at Dominican, posting a 42-0-1 record in conference play and making four national tournament appearances, including a run to the 2009 NCAA Final Four.
For his career, Rodriguez appeared in 70 matches since 2007, making 19 appearances in the Stars’ starting lineup. A midfielder for most of his collegiate career, Rodriguez tallied 16 goals and ten assists for a total of 42 points.
